Project Overview
We designed and are delivering the HumeLink Community Investment and Benefits Program, ensuring local communities share in the positive outcomes of the project through targeted funding and support. Our work is supporting Transgrid and its delivery partners to fund a range of community-led projects across the project footprint, alongside Transgrid's own community investment initiatives.
Our approach
We delivered a structured and community-led approach to designing and managing a large-scale investment program. This included establishing transparent frameworks and clear assessment criteria to support equitable participation and consistent decision-making.
We established program management processes with a strong focus on accountability, outcomes and continuous improvement, including mechanisms to track delivery, measure social value and monitor performance, ensuring alignment with community needs and broader strategic objectives.
We also facilitate and manage the HumeLink Construction Reference Groups to support ongoing engagement with local stakeholders.
What we deliver
We deliver program plans, an assessment framework and engagement plan to support the public expression of interest process and coordinate the assessment of projects with Transgrid and its partners. We also develop a set of performance indicators to track social impact and return on investment across the program.
Impact
The program has funded 22 community-led projects across the HumeLink footprint, alongside Transgrid-led initiatives. The program has contributed to improved local facilities, strengthened community resilience and delivered long-term social and economic benefits, supported by a transparent and scalable program structure.
